Teacher: Leslie O'Leary. (Level: Strong beginners who have had some dollmaking experience, no previous clay experience necessary.) Leslie is excited to bring to you the wonderful combination of creating in clay and fabric! Learn how to create a beautiful and creative Asian-inspired 28” tall Rabbit, designed to be a wall art piece, from start to finish with detailed instructions. Leslie will focus on sculpting your rabbit head and paws in air-dry clay, painting, and using a waxed finish with a cloth body, and she will also explore costuming in a graceful Oriental style, with fabrics and accent embroidery. She will give you three kimono and accent styles to work with! Traditional, Contemporary, and using vintage linens!! As a bonus, you will receive ahead of time, four videos discussing “Supplies for Costuming”, “Supplies for Creating”, “Color Palettes” and “Using Vintage Linens and Laces”! Pattern and full color instruction fee: $50 (emailed) or $80 (printed), paid to teacher in class. A supply list will be emailed.
